On Thursday, October 26 2023, at 9:00 PM, the LAVANDERIA A VAPORE in Collegno (Torino, Italy) hosts “Ultima Fermata” (“Last Stop”) a production by the MOTUS Company on the topic of environmental sustainability and climate tipping points, created with the support of the Tuscany Region and co-produced by Mulino ad Arte.
The even is part of the “NATURAL-MENTE” project, managed by MOTUS in partnership with ARCI Siena, supported by the Otto per Mille funds of the Waldensian Church, and for the Collegno step, it benefits from the collaboration of Arci Valle Susa – Pinerolo and the City of Collegno.
In this work, the MOTUS Company imagine the what can happen in 26 years from now, when the planet reaches the climate point of no return. The narrative unfolds through the eyes of three survivors seeking refuge on a bus, resisting the inevitable end. The bus becomes a stage for various events, and the Сompany uses a lot of humor to highlight how humanity can be crazy, in its dependent compulsive shoppig of objects that are such unuseful as energy-dispersing and harmful to the planet. The conclusion, even if inevitable, is not obvious and the unexpected ending surprises the audience.
The choreography of “Ultima Fermata” is created by Martina Agricoli on music of various authors, with the performers Roberta Morello, Mattia Solano, and Martina Agricoli herself. The direction is by the sisters Rosanna and Simona Cieri.
